September: Elements Forecast

BARBARI Mindfulness, Tarot, Thoughts

As I was preparing for this reading, words I heard during my meditation were “cooperation” and “integrity”. Cooperation is defined as the process of working together to the same end. Integrity is defined as the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. In what areas of your life are cooperation and integrity lacking, or need to be applied a bit more? We can clearly see the connection these words have to the sign of Virgo — Happy season, babes! As we feel the weather shifting and try to squeeze out the last bits of summer, I asked my cards “what should the focus of this month be?” (While taking into consideration the meanings of cooperation and integrity). Looking at what I pulled; balance, moving forward, integration, new chapters, and kindling fires were  themes that tied them all together.

The Deck

For these tarot messages, I used the Neo Tarot deck. Illustrated by Daiana Ruiz, its accompanying book was written by Jerico Mandybur. Daiana Ruiz is a visual artist and illustrator based out of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Jerico Mandybur is a tarot reader, spiritual coach, and bestselling author. Neo Tarot fuzes illustrations of androgynous humans with card interpretations, affirmations, and self-care tips corresponding to their respective cards.

The Spread

For this month’s tarot forecast, I’m pulling one card for each element: Earth, Air, Water, and Fire. Read the element that corresponds to your sun sign and rising sign if you feel called to. To find out your natal chart information, CafeAstrology has a pretty comprehensive beginner’s chart interpretation, though I highly recommend consulting your local astrologer to get a natal chart reading done. Novaa Network has a great directory to search through!

Fire: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius

Air: Libra, Aquarius, Gemini

Earth: Capricorn, Virgo, Taurus

Water: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces

The Elements

Fire 🜂

2 of Pentacles & 3 of Swords

After last month’s hurt, fire signs are learning to find their footing again. Give yourself time to ease back into things. Trying to regain balance after a major upset, heartbreak, or betrayal isn’t easy. September wants you to focus on taking your time. Know that you have all you need to heal from this. Now that you have more clarity, how can you return to matters of your home, work, art, or body? Focus on what lights up these areas and makes them feel good. What aspects of your life and daily living could use a bit of this 2 of Pentacles energy? Focus on your sustainability. Keep your best interests at heart. Healing happens at your own pace. Just be careful not to get too caught up (or caught too deep) in your feels that the scales begin to tip. Strike a balance that feels good between grieving and living.

Air 🜁

2 of Swords & 5 of Cups

Closing yourself off due to hurt and grief is a normal response. But the 5 of Cups wants you to let your feelings flow. Don’t hold back unprocessed feelings. Keeping them at bay or locked away won’t help to rationalize them. See things for how they are. Find a safe space to let your guard down and let your emotions flow. If you need to be alone, go for it. But if you need the presence of a trusted friend, family member, or therapist, do that too. Yes, the truth hurts; denying it won’t get you very far. Know that all isn’t lost. Accept what’s happened so you can move on. Alternatively, if you’ve been feeling stuck and unable to work through some of those feelings, connecting with water through a bath, visiting a body of water, or working with a glass of water may aid the flow. Look to the moon for help and comfort.

Water 🜄

2 of Cups & The Sun

This month, your focus is on relationships and partnerships. Whether you’re connecting deeper with yourself or a loved one, this is a happy, healing time. A time of strengthening unions, a time of blessings in your relationships. Accept and embrace the love and joy this month brings forth. If you feel like this is lacking, begin with yourself. When was the last time you connected with yourself or your remembered self? When was  the last time you talked to yourself nice? or connected with your physical body? Commit to love and pleasure, to stability and longevity. This pair of cards signifies a focus on unconditional love and expansive relationships. New, genuine connections based on healing and respect are arising. Say yes to all that makes you feel good. A dawning of faith and hope in your relationships is here.

Earth 🜃

Strength & Temperance

Strength and Temperance want you to focus on building yourself back up this month. What feels good? You’re being called to find that perfect balance and harmony with all parts of yourself. Vulnerability, integration, kindness, and compassion for yourself are all key things to focus on. Healing, growth, and transformation are taking place with the appearance of these two cards. You’re on top of your shadow work. You’re connecting with spirit. You’re grounded while feeling what arises. This month, focus on accepting yourself more fully. Experiment with what makes you and your body feel good. Rework definitions or outdated notions of strength. Temperance comes after the Death card; it brings peace and spiritual rejuvenation. Inner harmony is emphasized through both of these cards. You have all you need to connect with source, to connect with your remembered self. It’s time to refill your cup and spiritually upgrade. Bring more intention, love, and magic to your daily living.
