Why Cannabidiols Are So Effective Against Stress

“I’m so stressed”

Is something we hear and say so often that it’s not even alarming. The thing is, it SHOULD alarm us. Stress can transform and manifest itself into different health problems such as high blood pressure, heart problems, and migraines. Since we don’t have time to be stressed, we chug along like an outdated-yet-well-oiled machine that’s way overdue for a checkup.

Our minds are peculiar organs that can be as weak or as strong as you make them. They’re capable of incredible, almost magical things, or they can break under the weight of a leaf. In the end, it’s just like any other muscle. It needs to be tended to and cared for on a near-daily basis for optimal performance. Are you actively tending to your heart’s needs? It should be one of your top priorities.

Stress is inevitable, so creating your own stress-relief game plan is important. For example, knowing you feel your best when you are working out regularly, sleeping 6-8 hours a night, and building in social events into your calendar or feeding a hobby is an important piece in building the pillars of a strong mental health plan. For those bad days when you need a quick lever to stress-relief, cannabinoids, specifically CBD may be a good option for your stress first aid.

Cannabidiols (CBD)

It’s not new news that CBD helps reduce symptoms of stress. Studies have shown cannabinoids can provide relief to those suffering from generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, obsessive–compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder. However,  in what form should CBD be consumed? Topical oils? Ingestive oils? Gummies? Smoked?

Generally topical CBD is useful in treating mild physical pain in specific areas. Do you have aching muscles or a knee injury? In this case a topical CBD cream/oil can be absorbed into the epidermis and pores, resulting in immediate relief in that specific area.

When it comes to the overall stress that the mind goes through, both inhaling and ingesting CBD is the quickest way to treat your symptoms. Inhaling cannabidiols provides the most immediate relief to stress. When CBD is smoked, it directly enters the lungs and the bloodstream, reaching your cannabinoid-1 and cannabinoid-2 receptors in your central nervous system fastest. In fact, cannabidiols interact with a number of receptors known to regulate our stress and anxiety related behaviors, such as the serotonin 5-HT1A receptor, the transient receptor potential (TRP) and the vanilloid type 1 (TRPV1) receptor. When it comes to stress, the lot of us need fast relief, which is why we recommend smoking CBD to manage your symptoms.

Study after study have proven the effectiveness of CBD against stress, and yet it’s not allowed to live freely in the open. We have ambiguous rules and laws that suppress one of nature’s greatest gifts to human health. That’s because if you look at the history of cannabis, it’s laced with racist intent from start to finish. To understand every detail of this past would take a great ordeal of time, but we covered the general overview in this blog post.  It’s up to each individual to take it upon themselves to educate themselves on this topic. We get that there are a lot of events causing major stress in our lives, particularly this year. Please make sure to take care of yourselves, in whichever method you choose. When the world is coming down on you, just know it’s not wrong to go for herbal medicinal relief as well.
