April Tarotscopes

BARBARI Mindfulness, Tarot, Thoughts

This month’s tarotscopes build on last month’s, found here. In March, we inquired about seeds to be sown in the Spring. This month, you’re tending to that garden. How are you gonna do that? What energy should you be putting into it? The Star gives us insight. This card is all about joyful success, hope and renewal. It is a deeply healing and transformative period, especially since this card (sequentially) comes after the devastation of the Tower. It is a time of rebuilding. Of hope and inspiration. Be a well for yourself and loved ones. Be unconventional in your ways, but stick to your tried and true methods. How can this garden benefit others, your family or community? Blessings are coming at your hands! Uplift yourself and your spirit, so that you can share the abundance. These gardens, networks, goals, projects, whatever you want to call them, have so much potential. The Star brings longevity. If we’re working to subvert systems that keep people oppressed–capitalism, racism, cissexism–how can these gardens be a site of resistance, mutual aid, or solidarity? What is something sustainable you can begin creating for yourself and those who come after you?

The Elements

Fire 🜂

6 of Pentacles & The Fool

The Fool is card 0 in the tarot, the very beginning, full of possibility. It pushes us to get out there and do it. Spring is a time of renewal, everything’s blooming. So are you. The Fool is optimistic and doesn’t try to force or control things, they don’t have any expectations. Let yourself be spontaneous. Your garden is waiting. The 6 of Pentacles promises fruits, if you put in the work. What you give to this garden, what you share from it, will be reciprocated. Don’t let ego get in the way. Have the confidence and curiosity of the Fool. If you need help, ask for it! Even the Fool asks for directions when they’re in unknown territory. Take chances knowing you’re supported. The horizons you gazed upon last month–represented by 3 of Wands–are here. The outcome will be a great experience no matter what, you’re supported by last month’s Wheel of Fortune.

Air 🜁

4 of Wands & The Empress

There is a big emphasis on your home and family this month. The work you put into this garden will yield incredible results. March’s Knight of Pentacles could have focused on someone (or yourself) and the stability you’re creating. The 4 of Wands and Empress are here to give you a big hug, to continue cultivating stability. You’re finally feeling more aligned with yourself. Celebrate your progress and growth. Last month the Star card offered hope and renewal, this month, you’re opening up for more. The Empress wants you to connect with your body and nurture. She brings fertility, whether it is physical or an influx of ideas. Nurture your creations, pour love into them. Movement and dance will wake your body up after a long winter, it’ll make way for thoughts to process and ideas to crop up. The Empress will require time alone, let others celebrate and uplift you.

Water 🜄

Ace of Pentacles & Page of Wands

The Ace of Pentacles gives you fertile ground; consider the energy you’re putting into this garden. What do you need to bring so it can flourish? The Page of Wands brings excitement. Visualize the kind of stability you want. Let yourself get excited about your future. What revs you up? What passions are stirring? This month brings expansion. If you’ve recently moved or are considering moving, the Page of Wands signals new roots and commitment. Make room for internal dynamic exploration. Go deep into what gets you going– in a good way. What turns you on? Spend time with a fire sign if you need someone to bring the heat. Or, bring it yourself! Connect with your body and find new ways of turning yourself on. Last month’s High Priestess card emphasized connection with spirit, the Ace of Pentacles and Page of Wands emphasize the body. Orgasms hold a lot of power, so get into it.

Earth 🜃

The Hermit & Temperance

The Hermit wants you to spend time alone in your garden. Last month’s cards highlighted a deeply important decision on which seeds to plant. Meditate on what kind of energy you want to bring into it. Go within for the answers you seek. Make room for spiritual rejuvenation, especially after whatever the Tower card brought up last month. How can your garden be a site of this rejuvenation? You have everything you need to move forward. The Hermit emphasizes getting to know your garden intimately. Connect more with nature as you move into this new phase of life. Temperance asks you to remain balanced as you water and grow your seeds. It expands on the important message of re-prioritizing the 2 of Pentacles brought up. Temperance brings a time of recalibration, a rebirth after death. It’s about transformation, alchemizing, and tranquility. Put a piece of your soul into this garden.
